Papillio was founded in 2004, however its roots can be traced back to 1991 when it first appeared as a special line within the Birkenstock collection. These close ties continue today as all Papillio sandals and clogs are all made with the ‘Original Birkenstock Footbed’. Papillio believes that comfort and style should not be mutually exclusive and since the beginning have been making shoes that combine unparalleled comfort, stylish designs and colourful prints.
