Stefan Birkenstock founded Birki's in 1993. The famous Birkenstock cork footbed was used from the very begining, however they also created a range of professional and leisure clogs made of Alpro® foam. With quality being a core value of the brand, every sandal and clog is 100% made in Germany, where Birki's can stay true to their mission of providing quality footwear for every member of the family. Birki’s were rewarded for their continual commitment to product innovation by receiving the Red Dot Design award for product design in 2005.
